Podcast of Building Communities that work

Holly HuberHere is a recording of the talk by Holly Huber Swindon Borough Council to the Civic Trust on June 5th 2008 on Building Communities That Work.

She talks about how the design of the built environment affects how well communities form.

The more doors and windows that face the street and the slower the traffic is, the better the community spirit tends to be.

URGENT APPEAL:

URGENT APPEAL: can you store some of the equipment and material owned by the New Mechanics Institute Trust and the Swindon Civic Trust? Since the Mechanics Trust has been evicted from the Community Crossroads, some of this needs a home.

If you can help, please contact Donald Brunwin at donald@swindoncivictrust.org.uk.
