I read in the Adver yesterday about how you want a university for the town centre, something I strongly agree with. It struck me the the former Hambro Life/Allied Dunbar building at the station would surely be a possible venue for any university. The building would more than accomodate admin offices and lecturers offices, etc. and next door to it is a sizeable car park that could be built on? I'm sure I'm not the first to suggest this and I have no idea who owns the land, but to think the first thing you see when you arrive at Swindon staion could be our university (be it Swindon or UWE at Swindon). The positives are numerous (and I'm sure there are negatives). Just a thought I wanted to share with you.
